Bumping

We have all encountered the extra wide beads of adhesive on the corners and along the bottom of the windshield where the robots have slowed or where the bead was started and ended. When the Glass Bot™ encounters these areas you can hear the motor begin to slow and strain, this is where "bumping" comes into play.

"Bumping" consist of depressing the switch to tension the HTS Wire, then taking your finger off the switch, allowing the HTS Wire to slowly pull through this tough area. Continuing to apply tension to the HTS Wire can lead to the wire breaking. After you can see or even feel the tension leave the HTS Wire, depress the switch again to re-tension. You will notice when you are through this area as the HTS Wire will readily lose tension.

Use the LDPE Dash Protection Sheet as well to prevent the HTS Wire from rubbing against the pinchweld in these tight corners.
